A little confused...

Hey guys, this is Friedi!

I'm sorry we haven't been writing anything the last time but we're both quite busy doing our studies and stuff... I'm totally stressed out. University is quite tough and difficult, a day just hasn't enough hours to fit in all of the university-stuff, seeing friends and having some kind of a social life and blogging every day.
Also I've been feeling ill the last weeks, maybe cause theres so much stress, but malheureusement, Imissed a lot of classes because of my sickness...
Well, now I'm here writing and that feels good :D
I still should be doing a lot of stuff for my engineering studies, but one needs to take breaks every now and then.


So here I go, I've been home for the weekend and I've got a lot of things to tell you :D

Friday, I went to a party with my best friend and met tons of friends and was so happy that I also saw some I had not seen for quite a long time. Also, I saw my ex-boyfriend (we broke up  about two and a half years ago and I hadn't seen him for like a year now) and we got along quite well, even though I almost freaked out (on the toilet, talking to my bestfriend) cause he looked even better than when we were together, but I think thats a quite normal reaction after such a long time, no?
Well, after the party was over (at midnight) we decided to go to a bar and take some drinks cause non of us all was tired, a few drinks and a lot of fun later, one missed bus and a few more drinks later I landed safely in my warm bed at about 4:30.
Saturday I thought to myself "Tonigt you're going to bed early, you've got to do a lot of university work on sunday!" Well... obviously I didn't listen to myself... I just couldn't resist another wonderful evening with nice people, a 1:00am-caprese and some raspberry-passionfruit-malibu, you have to try this! It's one of the most awesome drinks I've ever tasted! Well so me and my friend Jule didn't get to sleep until, like, 3:00 also because we had a lot to tell to each other, cause since I'm here, I haven't been at home a lot... 
You can easily guess that I regretted that the next morning when my phone woke me up at 8:00 (on a SUNDAY!) to work on my math-paper...
So you see, my weekend was really awesome but I didn't get so much work done, also because I decided to bake some christmas cookies on Sunday afternoon instead of concentrating on my technical mechanics book...

Oh today, Jassy and I went to Subway (yum *-*) And decided we'll have to take photos. SOON. Cause we both have a giant lack of the happiness caused by taking photos!! So hopefully you'll soon see some examples of our next photoshoot (:

Well now I think I'll have to go hit the books or I'll never pass any of the papers I need to pass to be allowed to write the exams in February...

It's Jassy ;) I saw Friedi blogging stuff so I wanted to blog something as well :) 
Hence, I decided to tell you about one of the first things i learned at Uni.

I'm studying this science, media and communication thing and I have one course about Sociology.

It was a few weeks ago when I had one of the first lectures. The dozent was talking a lot about what Sociology is and how people found out about it. 

Somehow he explained explained why the people were doing what they were doing with the sentence: 

And for some reason this sentence was stuck in my mind since now. 

I mean - thinking about it it's pretty clear isn't it? 

Sometimes we are so desperately trying to learn something that we simply forget why we want to learn it and at times we even forget what exactly we are doing there. 

We lose the ability to see the                               'bigger picture'.

We are just trying too hard to be able to make a step forward.

But then we make a break. Allowing our minds to deal with something else and when we come back things often seem to be clearer a lot. 

Furthermore you can put this sentence on many things. Of course on studying and stuff. But also on                   friendship.

                                                             On                     Love.

Getting to know your loved ones better is not just hanging around with them 24 hours a day, but seeing how they interact with others; how they are without you.

Probably your boyfriends farts and burps a lot when he is with his buddies. That's the way he is!

Loving someone doesn't meant to love their personality, their sweetness and kindness while they are with you, but to accept every little piece of them.

I know my lecturer certaintly wasn't the first person saying this. Nevertheless I had the feeling that this was the first thing I learned at University. 

You know... something that...

And for all of you: Thank you for reading this. I know basically I haven't said something new. This are things we all know, but sometimes we have to write them down or read them out loud to really understand it.

Hey guys, it's me, Friedi (:

I've been home for the weekend to visit my mom and dad and to chill out a little bit, University can be quite stressing out, especially if you're studying engineering like I am...I'm not quite as relaxed as i thougt I'd be, but all the deadlines don't respect my "Weekend Off"

Well, at least I found some new plants for my room (Malheureusement, I murdered my first one, but these are easier to keep alive, my mom said^^)
aaaaaaaaand I got a suuuper-duuuper-cool idea for Jassy's christmas present! *-*
But shhhhhhh, don't tell her!!!!;) You'll sure here about it as soon as she gets it... But here's a little tip: it includes marshmallows *-* ... and maybe a snowman, but I'm not sure how to pack him yet... That might get difficult...

So that's it for today, gotta get up early tomorrow, it's monday... yay..
